Yes. Detailed fitness history stays on your devices, and core tracking works without an account. Optional Social securely syncs account, profile, relationships, and daily fitness summaries for authorized friends and private groups. Privacy controls start closed, and StepMelon does not sell data or use advertising tracking.
Absolutely. The iPhone and Android apps both track steps using your phone's built-in sensors. You get the same core features: 3-tier goals, rest days, streaks, achievements, and the Today dashboard. A smartwatch adds wrist-based tracking but isn't required.
Apple: Your Watch sends step data to the iPhone app in real time. Settings and badges sync via your personal iCloud account. Android: Your Wear OS watch syncs with the phone app automatically. Goals, streaks, and achievements stay in sync across your connected devices.
